We have a great new range of basics - all the colours of the rainbow and shades in between!  These are very reasonably priced at $16/m. There are 28 colours and we have put them together in fat eighths packs. 

     
"Jungle Friends". This range is great for a cot quilt - girl or boy.  The fabric repeat is 36" and there are two coordinating cotton prints, a spot and a tone on tone cream. The monkey print is flannel and would make a great backing. The row print is also a flannel and could be used for borders. The cottons and row print are $27.50/m and the monkey flannel is $30/m.


Minkee has returned but this year it is called "Cuddles"!!  This is beautifully soft - quite tactile! and is 155 cm wide. We have cuddle bubbles in soft lavender, blue, mint and pink and lemon at $43/m.
There is also smooth cuddles in mint and a limited amount of blue, $33/m.


  New this year is cuddles "Rosebud", available in mint and lemon, $47/m. This is a very soft swirl texture.


 

There is also available satin ribbon which can be used to bind cuddles quilts.  Colours are pink, blue and yellow, 4" wide @ $2.80/m.

The Painted Quilt, a wonderful book of paint and print techniques for colour on quilts. This book is by Linda and Laura Kemshall and priced at $48.


A gorgeous new design from Adrienne Walker exclusive to the ClothShop.  There are 3-D petals on the flower and falling from the flower, 3-D leaves and a lovely textured centre.  The pattern is $26 and we have a limited number of kits in the original fabrics for $180.00.

Two new patterns from Amy Butler - a nappy bag with changing pad and storage case ($31) and the Sandlewood Jacket which is completely reversible ($39).


 

Lovely flannels and fleece from Valori Wells. This range is called "Little Owls" and we have four colour ways in the flannel and a matching polar fleece in the pink/yellow/orange colour way.  The third picture is another polar fleece which would coordinate with all of the flannels.  We also have a lime and random teal spot polar fleece. The flannels are 42" wide and $34/m and the fleeces are 54" wide and $40/m.



New Michael Miller fabrics with a nice summery, nautical look - stripes, spots and floral prints. The stripes are 2" wide.  The second picture shows the large spots, the third picture shows the medium and small spots.  All fabrics are $29/m.

A brand new Block of the Month ....
"Life is a Celebration"

Run in conjunction with Homespun magazine, this is a mystery quilt running over 10 months.
It will feature blocks designed by some of Australia's top artists, Leanne Beasley, Janelle Wind, Natalie Ross and Gail Pan. Each block will include applique and embroidery.
The team at Homespun will make this quilt and donate it to the Ovarian Cancer Australia of Society as a fund raiser. This is a chance for you to make your very quilt.
You can choose to buy the magazine on it's own, or buy the magazine with fabric.

A Kittens Tale


This is a new Block of the Month from The Cloth Shop, designed by Lynette Anderson.
This is a ten month programme which includes patterns, all the fabric for the front of the quilt, (does not include batting or backing) threads and binding. We love the combination of hand stitching and piecing. You can have a portable block to stitch while you are traveling, waiting for a child at sports matches or dancing lessons, or sewing at your craft group. We have made it up with fabrics from Moda's French General range and a selection of the new Dusty's basic range from Stof.

New thread in store is Kreinik Machine Sewing Threads. These are metallized silver gimp threads, designed to perform beautifully at speed.
This thread is smooth, round and metallic that has a paper base to give it extra strength, then it is laminated with silver and wound around a nylon core. The silver reduces static, (improving performance) and makes it anti-microbial (fungus resistant). Use it on all stitches and bobbin work on all fabrics. It's ideal for long-arm quilt machines, all sewing machines, and embroidery machines and sergers.
